The Kew Golf Club is one of Melbournes finest golf courses. The Championship Par 72 layout of 6173 metres is a great test to all standards of players. Situated only 15 minutes from the city, the course meanders along the Yarra River providing a beautiful vista and is home for 100s of species of native birds. The course itself is currently home of the Victorian PGA Championship, (held in October) which forms part of the Australasian PGA Tour.

An excellent golf course that offers a steady test in all conditions.
While certainly not a long course there is a premium placed on straight driving from the tee. The penalty for failing this is often a strike out-of bounds or into water hazards.
The greens have a tendency to be soft and generally play medium-slow. This can be a double-edged sword where a player can shoot directly at the pin but will have work cut-out finding range on the longer putts.
Being a clay-belt course the sand is not naturally occurring and so bunkers can play inconsistently and are probably a weakness.
Water is brought into consideration on a number of holes given the Yarra River meanders through the layout. This brings with it an abundance of native birdlife add a terrific element to the general course setting.
Quality short game practice facilities. Range facilities in serious need of improvement (planned to occur shortly).
Arguably the best course off the sandbelt.
