A leisurely 1.5 to 2 hour drive from Sydney through the charming and historic Southern Highlands, Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Resort is nestled amongst picturesque bushland in a peaceful, natural amphitheatre overlooking the valley’s majestic, rocky escarpment.

As the name implies, it’s much more than a place to stay. It’s a comfortable country resort with facilities and service to make a romantic weekend, mid-week escape, family holiday or business conference totally unforgettable.

There’s a licensed restaurant, swimming pool, beach volleyball and tennis courts. And for golfers, the undulating fairways of our Jack Newton designed par 72 championship 18-hole golf course await with unexpected challenges.

Jack’s original design has been recently extended and upgraded. Played under the watchful gaze of the many resident kangaroos, the course sweeps across the undulating valley terrain providing a tough test of golf from the back tees. From the front tees it’s a pleasurable adventure for beginners or a casual game.

So whether your idea of a good drive is taking in the vistas of Kangaroo Valley and the surrounding highlands, or sending a little white ball searing 250 metres down the centre of a lush fairway, Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Resort offers the perfect drive.

this is a course that will test all aspects of your game from the nice straight par 4's especially the 8th to the to the deceiving par 5s on the back 9. i urge you walk this course (if fit) as it is an awsome experience. although by the 16th i was stuffed having stopped for a few refreshing brews on the 9th wich killed my game be careful of arriving early in the morning as play can be hampered by very thick fog.so if your a tree hugger leave it till later in the day.
in short i strongly suggest you stop in for an amazing day of golf.

This is a really nice course. I always enjoy playing here.

The 8th hole has spectacualr views of the surrounding mountains. You really feel quite small even though you're teeing up from the highest point on the course. The cliffs to your right run high and way out to the left you can see the incredible highlands. This is a great hole!

Staff here have always been very friendly and play here if you are in Kangaroo Valley - better still - mnake the trip - it's a magnificent drive!

Kangaroo Valley is a demanding course build into the side of the escarpment. It's hilly, has plenty of trees, plentiful water hazards and a decent supply of bunkers. Add some strongly sloped greens, a few with two levels, more than a few doglegs with high trees protecting the corners, some tight out of bounds and some steep climbs - then you have a challenge. Designed by Jack Newton, the Par 72 layout also boasts spectacular views of Kangaroo Valley and Morton National Park.

It's well worth the 2 hour trip from Sydney to play this gem of a course.

Fantastic all-round golf/weekend getaway.

My wife and I have played Kangaroo Valley a number of times now and always look forward to a weekend away down there. The course is always in beautiful condition and is long, generally quite wide and open, and always challenging. A couple of long water carries and picturesque high tees looking over the Kangaroo Valley would be highlights.

It's up and down so a cart is a good option.

We would recommend making a weekend of it and staying in one of the self contained on course cabins. Great log-fire restaurant on site, as well as the town of Kangaroo Valley which has some fantastic food and a pretty good little pub.

Definitely a 5 star weekend.
