This is a fanatstic country course. I played recently and the course was in excellent condition and it appears they have plenty of water. I try to get down to Warrnambool twice a year to play here and at Port Fairy. The course can be quite challenging in the wind but on the calmer days allows for good scoring. The stretch of holes 4th to 6th is as good as any I’ve played. This is a more challenging course than nearby Port Fairy however I recommend you play both if you are in the area.

this offers a good challange to most golfers, plays harder to wot it looks like on paper especially when the wind blows. i enjoyed it ere the 2 times i played in extreme wind and calm conditions which is about 7am in the morning. favourite holes to play were the 4th, 5th, 6th, 13th, 14th & 15th. bit more challaging than the port fairy course down the road i’d reccomend if your in the area to play warrnambool & port fairy!

a good course to play the 10th or 11th unless you are a long hitter is a very long hole while the par 3 up the hill on the back 9 which mainly consists of sand ie they play like bunkers is a get to the flag or suffer the course is very open plenty of room to hit and enjoyable especially if you are on holidays there

I will always remember one hole (I can't remember the actual hole number but somebody will know from my description). Very elevated tee shot to a deep, wide fairway. The second shot is straight uphill again with a complete right dogleg.

Alternatively, you can risk a lost ball by trying to fly over the trees and cut the corner. I hit my best drive of the round on this hole and made a good birdie.

Warrnambool is one of the best value for money courses in Australia. For around 20 bucks you get to play one of the best courses in the country. Built on land close to the beach, many of the holes are played from elevated tees through hilly terrain surrounded by tee tree. Notable holes include the 4th 311m par 4 the 5th 327m and the 6th 345m. All are spectacular in appearance and beautiful to play. The uphill par 3 13th and downhill par 14th par4 are sensational. The course is always in excellent condition, greens are true and well bunkered and the variety in the holes excellent. If you are bored playing this course you are bored with golf. Each hole is unique in character. Great course.

A good test for any golfer, tight fairways with plenty of Tea tree, large undulating greens, not a long course but very enjoyable with tough par 3's.
