Played after they had a lot of rain, beautiful scenery, quite a challenge for someone not used to hitting off slopes ,would love to attempt course again in dry and with a bit more knowledge of my distances.

This course has no pretensions and is a fun basic country course best suited to beginners – par 68 at 5400 metres is a god introduction to golf. As I see it, the rating systemof 1 to 5 is meant to apply to all courses. On that basis, this course is a 1 or 2. I’‘ll give it a 1 because the two previous ratings of 4 are simply ridiculous.

very tough course for me nicely kept course, i play off 19 and haven't broken 100 on this course out of the 2 times i've played it, picturesque position right on the edge of Oberon dam.

We made a day trip here a few years back and were very surprised by the course - we had low expectations given the sparse surroundings.

Set on a massive hill leading down to the Oberon Dam the course has a good array of holes that use the contours well.

Early in the round you pay away from the clubhouse before decending to the dam for a memorable par 5 along it's edge.

Back nine has a number of quality holes that close the round out well. Tourists will love the roos all over the course and the views.

If this course were closer to Sydney it'd be packed but given it's location there's very few people to be seen even on the weekend.

If you're out that way with a few hours to kill I'd highly recommend a quick round.
